SITmUP or Stuck In The Mud Underground Publishing strives to portray, preserve, protect
the essence of what IS Vizsla, by sending out Sentinels to retrieve great stories,
ladling all with a heavy historical flavor & then sharing with the world through the auspices of thevizslaksentinel.com.

This is the latest SITmUP project. It will be a DVD, that is due out late summer of 2016. We will finish compiling articles by June 1, 2016 and then insert Documents, Photographs, Graphics. WE NEED HELP. We intend this to be a work of art covering over a thousand years. I believe that I can substantiate that the Vizsla IS the oldest Pointing breed. Can't do that without your help, especially with Hungarian sources. I need researchers !!!!! People who can tract down the ancestors of our pioneers. Every time I think I might have found it all or been sent everything, I find me wrong. Treasure after treasure keeps popping up from Szikra's collar (1920s) to the Nikki's Arco websuit (1960s)
WHAT IS A SENTINEL?
Sentinels are scouts who become reporters for Vizsla events
for any registry in any country.
There is also a lack of writers in the Vizsla world. One of the purposes of this website is to encourage & promote more journalism about the breed & to also promote
sporting breed events. Reporters of past events & intrepid fiction & non-fiction writers are also considered good scouts to keep an eye out for.
WHO CAN BE A SENTINEL SCOUT?

The Vizslak Sentinel.
Competition in journalism means "improvement"
for all sooner over later. We encourage people to creatively write & photograph on any Vizsla or related topic. If a Vizsla person writes it, finds it or buys it, and is "of interest",
your contribution will have a space of accepted, on The Sentinel for a reasonable time. Articles & photographs submissions owned or written not by yourself should be adequately "sourced".

SITmUP is short for Stuck In The Mud Underground Publishing and was formed in 2002.
Since then two, sometimes three, or four & five Vizsla women at a time have gathered Vizsla pioneer contributions, helped change Vizsla advertising, collected & shot numerous photos at Vizsla events/subjects, searched mainstream &
private historical resources creating much artwork for hard copy or online interests.
What you see on "The Vizslak Sentinel" are the
results of all that hard work...by women. While we have nothing against men ;), none seem to be weirdos or geeks like the women from SITmUP.

We are in great need of typists who can convert poorly scanned, photographed, enough that is difficult to read & some easy stuff needing put into WORD document format.
